RACK - Risk Appraisal Consequences in Korea(DFG-project Re 1583/2-1)
In 2004, more than 1000 people took part in a blood pressure and cholesterol screening in Seoul, South Korea. They answered a large variety of questions before, immediately after, and a couple of days after the screening. These questions adressed people's knowledge of the topic, their expectations, their emotional and cognitive reactions to their results and their behavior regarding alcohol and tobacco consumption, nutrition, and exercise. Additionally, a control group of about 400 people participated in the same wave of data collection without taking part in the screening. Six months later, a second wave of data collection with the same questionnaires and a second screening was conducted. The data are currently being analyzed.

(DFG-project Schw 208/11)
Older than the RACK-study, BRAHMS was conducted in Berlin in 1994. Participants took also part in blood pressure and cholesterol screenings and answered a large amount of questions regarding similar issues than mentioned above for RACK. The data from this study have been thoroughly analyzed, and many publications resulted from this work.
